High quality vintage costume jewelry is often gold filled (GF). Per Wikipedia: “Gold-filled jewelry, also known as “rolled gold” or “rolled gold plate” is composed of a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal such as brass.” Gold-Filled jewelry is typically considered a lifetime product, (with a wear life of over 30 years) and the gold layer does not generally wear off, as it will in electroplated (gold plated) products. This cameo set featuring Gold Filled items will bring you years of beauty.
